Premature ejaculation is a common sexual dysfunction in men that is characterised by the inability to control or delay ejaculation during sexual activity. It is defined as ejaculation that occurs within one minute of penetration, or even before penetration, on a consistent or recurring basis.

Premature ejaculation can be caused by a variety of factors, including psychological and physical factors such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems, hormonal imbalances, and certain medical conditions. It can also be caused by certain medications, recreational drugs, or alcohol.

Premature ejaculation is treated with numbing cream and/or the use of Phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors. These are clinically approved and effective prescribed medications. PDE5 inhibitors work by relaxing the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more easily to the penis resulting in, and sustaining, an erection.

Our Partner Doctors can assist you with the medication you need to treat premature ejaculation.

What are the symptoms of premature ejaculation?
The main symptom of premature ejaculation is the inability to control or delay ejaculation during sexual activity. Specifically, it is defined as ejaculation that occurs within one minute of penetration, or even before penetration, on a consistent or recurring basis.
In addition to the physical symptom of premature ejaculation, men may also experience psychological symptoms related to their sexual performance, such as anxiety, embarrassment, or frustration. These feelings may be further exacerbated if the individual perceives their partner’s dissatisfaction or frustration with their sexual performance.
Can premature ejaculation be treated online?
Yes, a doctor can treat premature ejaculation online based on your symptoms during a virtual consultation. At Contro, men and women over the age of 18 can chat with one of our Partner Doctors about their symptoms and get treatment prescribed and delivered to them.

Please note, that we are not an emergency service, and if you require urgent care please seek in-person treatment.

Our Partner Doctors reserve the right to refuse treatment based on their professional medical and ethical opinion.

How much do Contro’s premature ejaculation treatment services cost?
Once-off treatment

A once-off premature ejaculation treatment consultation with one of our Partner Doctors costs R300. This includes all doctor’s fees, prescription fees and free delivery.

After a successful consultation, cash customers will additionally be charged for their prescribed medication. The treatment price will vary and will depend on which medication(s) your assigned Partner Doctor prescribes you, and the quantity of treatment you would like to recieve. The total cost for cash customers starts at R360 depending on your prescribed medication.

The total cost for medical aid customers is R300.

Subscription service

Our service fee is R150 per month. This spreads out the cost of your doctor’s consultation and prescription fees over periods of six months at a time. We also provide free delivery within that fee to anywhere in the country.

All customers will pay our R150 service fee each month.

Cash customers will additionally be charged for their prescribed medication each month.

The total subscription cost for cash customers starts at R210 depending on the price of your prescribed medication.

The total subscription cost for medical aid customers will be R150 p/m.

How am I charged for my premature ejaculation subscription service?

All customers are charged their first month’s R150 service fee at checkout. This is non-refundable. After a successful consultation, cash customers will be charged again for the price of their prescribed medication.

For the preceding months of the subscription, cash customers will be charged our R150 service fee combined with the cost of their medication in a single transaction.

Medical aid customers are only charged our R150 service fee on each subscription repeat date.

Kindly note, payments occur in the form of a debit order from the saved card details listed on your Contro profile. We are unable to accept EFTs, deposits or cash on delivery payments.

Subscribers may cancel anytime on their profile or by emailing us at support@contro.co.za.

Does Contro replace my primary doctor?
No, Contro’s service offering does not replace your primary doctor. We save you time and money by offering you a supplementary online delivery and subscription service, and therefore your assigned Partner Doctor does not replace your primary doctor or GP and is not responsible for your ongoing primary care.
Can I claim through my medical aid?
Yes, but only for your medication costs. Medical aid customers are still required to pay our R150 service fee each month. We are working hard to get the medical aids to cover this service fee.

Our Partner Pharmacy will make the claim for your medication with your medical aid scheme each month. If your claim is unsuccessful we will reach out to you and confirm you are happy to switch to paying privately for your medication each month instead.

If you are unsure whether your medical aid scheme will cover your prescribed medication, or allow you to use your savings to pay for your prescribed medication, please contact your provider.

When and how is my medication delivered to me?
Our Partner Doctors offer consultations Monday – Friday excluding public holidays. We aim to offer you a consultation within 2 business days.

After a successful consultation, your assigned Partner Doctor will produce a repeat prescription for your prescribed medication which is sent electronically to our Partner Pharmacy. Our Partner Pharmacy will contact you telephonically to confirm your details and delivery address, and will make a claim on your behalf if you have provided medical aid details.

Their pharmacy team will prepare and despatch your medication to your chosen delivery address. Once your order has been despatched, delivery time is 1-3 business days.

You will receive an SMS from our Partner Pharmacy to notify you that your medication has been despatched each month. This will contain a tracking number that will allow you to track your medication with the applicable courier service here.

Please note, you cannot change your delivery address once payment has been processed and your prescription has been sent to our Partner Pharmacy for processing.

I’m on the subscription service, do I have to go back and see my assigned Partner Doctor for a repeat order?
No, our service saves you time and money by delivering your medication to an address of your choice for free every month. Please continue to see your primary doctor or GP throughout your Contro subscription for bi-annual check-ups. You must inform your assigned Partner Doctor of any changes in your physical or mental health as soon as you become aware of the change, to allow for your Partner Doctor to consider if changes need to be made to your ongoing treatment plan.
Your assigned Partner Doctor will authorise the issuing of your prescription every 6 months.

Our customers love Contro because it's safe, secure and trusted…
